■ Before welding
The cleaning sponge must be wetted with water before squeezing out excess water. Only in this way can the soldering iron head get the best cleaning effect. If you use a non-wet cleaning sponge, the tip of the soldering iron will be damaged and the tin will not be applied.
■ When performing welding work
The following soldering sequence can protect the soldering iron tip and reduce the oxidation rate.
■ After the soldering work, first adjust the temperature to about 250 ° C, then clean the iron tip, and add a new layer of tin for protection (if you use a non-temperature-controlled soldering iron, turn off the power first, and let the temperature of the iron tip decrease slightly before going up tin).
The selection of the soldering iron tip (also called the soldering tip) is very important. It not only affects the soldering effect and soldering tip life, but more importantly, it will play a greater value according to the packaging form of different chips. When choosing a soldering iron tip, the following factors are mainly considered:
1) Select the size of the soldering iron tip according to the size of the solder joint and the density of the solder joint;
2) Choose the shape of the soldering iron tip according to the type of soldering element, the ease of contact of the solder joint, and the size of the tin.
