Talking about the four factors affecting the welding quality of automatic welding machine

People who have used manual soldering and automatic soldering machines must have some doubts. For example, when using manual soldering, the effect is good. After using automatic soldering machines, the solder quality is not as good as expected. In fact, whether it is machine welding or manual welding, Welding quality is affected by many factors, but the difference between manual soldering and automatic soldering machine is that when the quality problem of manual welding occurs, the problem will be solved in time, and the soldering machine can only pass the welding result when the quality of the welding problem occurs Feedback is in front of us, so what are the factors that affect the welding quality of automatic welding machines?

1. Solder material: The solder material is made of a variety of alloys. Different alloy tin materials have different characteristics, mainly reflected in wettability, melting point, temperature, and mechanical characteristics after welding. The so-called mechanical characteristics refer to stress, thrust, and tension . If the tin wire material is not good, it will cause the soldering iron not to eat tin, tin explosion, etc.

2. Temperature: Excessive temperature will cause no tin, tin explosion, and flux in the tin wire to be evaporated directly, which is also not good for the life of the soldering iron tip, which will lead to easy oxidation. If the temperature is too low, it will cause cold soldering, virtual soldering, and short circuit. Generally, soldering should not exceed 400 degrees. The melting point of tin is 180-240, which is mainly determined by the composition of the tin wire.

3. Flux: Commonly known as rosin, natural rosin is a kind of resin, artificial synthesis will mix a variety of chemical elements. Common liquid, solid, paste. It is divided into high activity, medium activity and low activity. The flux mainly decomposes oxides during the soldering process, and wets the soldering surface to promote better soldering. If the quality of the flux is not good, it will result in high residues after welding. The residues contain halogen ions, which gradually cause problems such as reduced electrical insulation performance and short circuits.

 4. Solder product material: Many customers have experienced similar situations, that is, I and other colleagues are doing the same product, why their products are automatically produced by automatic welding machine, the welding quality is very good, why my product is on After the automatic welding machine, the effect is unsatisfactory? When encountering this problem, the first thing to consider is whether the processing parts of the product are the same as those of the peers, or if you want to reduce costs and choose cheap and quality parts? When processing for yourself, whether to process according to your own required size and process, whether the solder pad of the processed parts is oxidized, etc. will affect the welding quality due to the product itself.

Through the above introduction and analysis, we can roughly analyze the main reasons that affect the quality of the automatic welding machine: solder material, solder temperature, flux and solder product material.
