The most irritating thing about the use of oxidation on the soldering iron tip is that the soldering iron tip oxidizes under the condition of continuous high temperature and lack of baggage tin. It becomes black, does not stick to tin, and has poor thermal conductivity. However, this layer of oxidation is difficult to remove. Many people 'scrape' the iron tip with sharp tools or sandpaper, etc., although the effect is good for a while, but the service life of the iron tip is greatly damaged;
■ Reasons for the iron tip oxidizing too fast
1. Quality problem of branding head.
2. The temperature is too high, the heat is quick, and it is easy to burn the iron tip. In addition, the temperature setting is very related to the iron you use. For example, the ordinary soldering iron you use requires a temperature of 350 degrees, and you may need to debug it to 380 degrees during use. Because the power is not enough.
3. Maintenance problems. Every time it is used up it needs tin to prevent oxidation.
4. Deformation or perforation of the soldering iron nozzle.
■ Approach
1. The temperature of the soldering iron is high, the quality is good, the heating is slow, the temperature is low, and it is not easy to burn the iron head. The choice of the iron head is very important.
2. High temperature will accelerate the oxidation of the tip of the soldering iron and reduce the life of the tip of the soldering iron. The higher the temperature, the shorter the service life of the soldering iron tip. For every increase of 20 ℃, the service life of the soldering iron tip is reduced by half.
3. Put the soldering iron tip into the rosin and apply solder, roll it inside, and the oxide will fall off after a while. After the usual use, fill the head with tin until it can't stick. It's very shiny when you wipe it on the sponge.
4. Replace the soldering iron tip.
■ Precautions
Never use a file to remove oxides from the welding tip. If the soldering iron tip burns (the black layer is not melted, or it is just a tin ball), scrape the head with a blade to expose the copper part, and the scraping speed should be fast, do n’t use too much Vigorously, use solder wire to melt it immediately after scraping, but the life of the soldering iron tip will be shorter in the long term
When the soldering station is not used, do not leave the soldering iron tip at a high temperature for a long time. This will cause the flux on the soldering iron tip to be converted into oxide, that is, the soldering iron tip will be oxidized, which will greatly reduce the thermal conductivity of the soldering iron tip. When the soldering station is not in use, the power supply should be turned off (for non-temperature controlled and non-automatic sleep stations).
